Alex: Hi, I'm Alex Lozano, also known as Cardoza, an independent artist. This is… Daniel: Daniel De La Peña, and I'm the event organizer. Alex: And we want to talk a little bit about United Juntos, kind of how we started and where we're going. Over a year ago, I applied for a grant as an individual artist to bring art experiences to the community. And I want to say this has been phenomenal, because it kind of blew up and we've been able to do so much more than just give an art experience to the community. Mr. De La Peña, Daniel De La Peña, he's been amazing in kind of creating this bigger experience and being able to give more resources and help to this community. I think the biggest part, now that we are taking off, is United Juntos became an art experience, and now it's becoming a nonprofit. Daniel: About a month and a half ago, we started contacting our community partners. We wanted to reach out and find unique opportunities that our participants could take advantage of. Alex: We had a lot of people reach out, and we had over, what, 10 organizations. Daniel: We had 10 organizations that showed up. Big shout-out to Big Brothers Big Sisters Lone Star, Dallas ISD, Texas A&M College of Dentistry, and Park University, the great partners were willing to come. Also, huge shout-out to the law office that joined us, for coming and having a booth at our event. You know, those partnerships that we made, I think they're excellent simply because our community's able to benefit from those partnerships and able to get the resources our partners are able to provide to our community. Alex: And we're really excited to kind of move forward and make it even better and be able to move out to other areas of Dallas and Fort Worth. So keep an eye out. We're really excited to kind of get going and start it all up with this first event. That was super phenomenal, so thank you to everybody if you did come out.
