Our board of directors is a volunteer team of community members who guide United Juntos, hold us accountable, and make sure every dollar serves the families we exist for.
United Juntos is governed by a volunteer board of directors that sets our direction, approves the budget, and upholds the trust our neighbors and supporters place in us. Board members serve without pay.
We believe the people closest to the work should help lead it — so we build our board with artists, educators, and neighbors who know this city and love its people.
That's what it means to rise juntos.
Three directors serve in unpaid roles with one-year terms, renewed at the annual meeting. Our bylaws provide for up to nine seats as we grow.
The board holds its annual meeting each August, with additional meetings as needed to review programs, finances, and impact.
Directors are governed by our bylaws and review finances annually. A formal conflict-of-interest policy goes before the board at the August 2026 annual meeting.
Alex grew up in a low-income family, where he learned early that life is a gift. For years he never believed art was for someone like him — until he discovered it was. Today his mission is simple: give everyone, young and old, the chance to make art and call it their own.
A licensed clinical social worker, Hayven has watched art give her students — and herself — a way to cope with hard things, express themselves, and try something new. “I support United Juntos because it’s rooted in providing a welcoming, safe space for community, creativity and inclusivity — a space where children and families can come together creating art and memories. It really is for everyone!”
A creative working in beauty and artistry, Karina believes art is for everyone — a way to express yourself, connect with others, and help people feel seen. “Art gives people a voice, even when words are hard to find, and I’m honored to support a mission that makes that experience more inclusive and accessible.”

We're seeking someone who loves connecting people and resources to help grow our funding and partnerships. Passion for Dallas required; fundraising experience a plus.
